Guide to useage WARNING ADULT SUPERVISION REQUIRED. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR CHILDREN UNDER EIGHT YEARS OF AGE. Safety Rules The Diablo Slingshot is designed to be a safe and fun product. However, as with any shooting-style product, certain safety rules must be observed. It is HIGHLY recommended that these rules be read before using the Diablo Slingshot. Slingshots are NOT toys. For maximum safety and enjoyment always exercise caution, common sense and safety rules when shooting the Diablo Slingshot. NEVER aim or draw the Diablo in the direction of a person. Aim and draw ONLY in the direction of an appropriate target. ALWAYS have a full view of the path to the target and beyond when shooting. ALWAYS wear safety glasses when shooting your slingshot How to Shoot your Barnett Slingshot A. Stance Stand at a right angle to the target with weight on both feet spaced comfortably apart. B. Loading · Place pellet in pouch ensuring that it is hanging evenly and press down with index finger. · Move thumb and second finger to either side of the pouch. · Move index finger to side of the pouch and hold between first and second joint of finger with the pellet centred in the pouch. C. Gripping and Drawing your slingshot Gripping: A consistent wrist position must be kept shot after shot for accurate tournament shooting. Always shoot with a relaxed grip as a tight grip can cause the 'U' frame to work off the handle. Twist your wrist slightly so that the centre of the slingshot lines up with your arm. Do not bend your wrist as this puts extra stain on the lower power bands and when the pellet is released you will have a tendency to twist the slingshot causing a miss. Drawing: Extend left arm directly out towards the target whilst straightening your sling arm out. Hold the slingshot with the handle horizontal and pull pouch back smoothly taking a deep breath. Practice this to try and develop a smooth rhythm. D. Anchoring Always keep the pouch in the same position in relationship to the aiming eye. Anchor drawing hand with joint of thumb and fingers sunk into hollow of your cheek. E. Aiming Using the anchor method, the top prong of the slingshot should be brought approx. onto the target - exact positioning will vary a little with each shot. F. Releasing Just let the pouch slip between the finger and thumb without jerking. When following through, hold your position momentarily without swinging your sling hand. Fitting Replacement Slingshot Bands The Barnett veloci-speed latex tubular bands will fit all models of Barnett Slingshots. The Replacement bands kit includes assembled leather pouch, pair of latex bands and slingshot arm tip protectors · Push Arm tip protectors onto end of the slingshot arm, this should be a good fit. · Moisten tip protectors slightly with water or alcohol to allow the band to slide over the mounting easier. · Push the band over the tip protector 1 inch, (25 mm) further than the end of the moulding · It may be necessary to twist the tubing in order to align the ammo pouch before allowing the assembly to dry for at least 1 hour before using. LIMITED WARRANTY The Diablo Slingshot is guaranteed to the original purchaser to be free of manufacturing defects for a period of 30-days from the date of purchase. Not covered by warranty: Damage caused by abuse or modification, transportation of defective product to Barnett's Service Department, any other expenses, consequential damages, incidental damages or incidental expenses, including damage to person or property.
